Terminal Logging Script

I use the terminal or command window a lot while using a computer. For this reason, I have created a quick and dirty little script to log all my terminal commands that allow me to review and not have to worry about my buffer history being over written.

To use and install the script:

  1. Download this file
  2. Open your Terminal preferences and under shell options select run this command (shown below)
  3. Shell script to log terminal sessions, files are located in “Library/Logs/Terminal”

Note you will need to modify your preferences in the terminal app to startup this script

Now, you can use the Console application to view live log files or historical commands to oppose unix utilities if you choose.
